Lawyer Tomë Gashi has reacted to Kosovo’s institutional deadlock, addressing the lawmakers who are absent from the constituent session and are not supporting the election of the president.
Invoking Saint Mother Teresa, Gashi said that the lawmakers were not merely skipping a session, but were consciously obstructing the functioning of the state and holding Kosovo hostage to political interests.

In his post, he called on the lawmakers to explain to citizens why they sought their votes if they do not wish to take responsibility for the Assembly, the president and the country’s institutions.
According to Gashi, citizens did not vote for them to block the state, but to guarantee its functioning.
