A person has been detained on suspicion of aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder following an incident in the village of Upper Poterq in Klina.

The Basic Prosecution Office in Peja, through its Serious Crimes Department, said that the case was registered on September 6, 2026. According to the announcement, the suspect is suspected of attacking two members of his family.
Prosecutorial authorities said that the suspect is mentally incapacitated.
Both victims were transported for medical treatment. However, one of them died as a result of the injuries, while the other victim continues to receive medical assistance.
By decision of the State Prosecutor, the suspect has been placed in 48-hour detention.
Meanwhile, the Basic Prosecution Office in Peja has submitted a request to the competent court for his remand in custody.
The investigation is ongoing in order to fully clarify the circumstances of the case.
