According to him, the lack of a common Albanian approach has left the nation without shared objectives, while Tirana and Pristina remain constrained by deep divisions in their thinking and by the belief that they can function separately from one another.

Mehmeti also addressed the situation of Albanians in North Macedonia, who, he said, have been neglected and divided.

He also emphasized that Tirana supports the Democratic Union for Integration, while Vetëvendosje supports the VLEN coalition.

Another criticism from the publicist concerned the political interventions of official Tirana in Kosovo. He said that Tirana dictates to the PDK how it should behave on the political stage, thereby contributing to deepening divisions among Albanians.

Mehmeti described Tirana’s position as nonsensical, as it says it is committed to Kosovo’s independence while at the same time becoming involved in Serbian initiatives such as the “Open Balkan.”

In conclusion, he warned that the damage being caused by divisions and destructive actions within the Albanian factor is so great that foreigners no longer need to spend money or finance actions against it, since Albanians are harming their own interests.
