A confrontation between several young people in Korçë ended with a 19-year-old being stabbed. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon in the city’s No. 11 neighborhood.
The young man, identified by the initials M. A., was stabbed in the thigh during the altercation.

After being notified of the incident, officers from the Korçë Police Station intervened and apprehended the suspect, 23-year-old R. I.
Checks and verifications revealed that the 23-year-old was under a house arrest security measure, which he is suspected of violating when he went out and became involved in the altercation.
During a physical search, police also found a quantity of suspected cannabis sativa.
The 19-year-old was taken to Korçë Regional Hospital for treatment. According to preliminary information, his condition is stable and he is not in life-threatening danger.
Procedural steps to arrest the 23-year-old are ongoing, while the investigative team is working to establish the full circumstances and motives behind the altercation.
