Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski said today that preparations are being made to ensure that, even during peak periods of arrivals and departures at the border, waiting times do not last longer than one hour.
According to him, unlike in previous years when in some cases citizens waited up to four hours, waiting times now reach a maximum of one hour.

Toshkovski stressed that one positive example of how a border crossing is functioning is Tabanoc. He said that the transit time for citizens, which previously involved waits of up to 4 hours, has in recent days been reduced to a maximum of half an hour. According to him, in the coming period, with the increase in traffic and on the busiest days, waiting times are expected to reach up to 1 hour, but under no circumstances return to the levels of previous years, when people waited more than 4 hours. He also added that the number of travelers passing through this border crossing in transit has increased by about 15 percent.
