The Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren has released the first details concerning the serious case in which a 14-year-old lost his life after being stabbed last night.

According to the initial investigation, the alleged perpetrator is a 17-year-old, who is suspected of killing the minor by stabbing him.
Police also seized at the scene the knife suspected of having been used in the commission of the criminal offense.
By order of the state prosecutor, the 17-year-old was detained for 24 hours on reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offenses of “Aggravated Murder” and “Unauthorized Ownership, Control or Possession of Weapons,” as defined by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The prosecution announced that, within the legal deadline, it will submit a request for the imposition of a measure to ensure the minor’s presence during the proceedings. Meanwhile, the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, is continuing its investigation to establish the motives and full circumstances of the incident.
