For the second consecutive day, the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo has positioned itself outside the entrance to the government building, continuing its action to block Prime Minister Albin Kurti and cabinet members from accessing their offices.

The opposition lawmakers once again took up positions right at the main gate of the executive building.
A day earlier, lawmaker Eliza Hoxha said the aim of the action was to prevent Kurti from entering the institution, which she described as being “held hostage” by him.
“Instead of undermining the work of the Assembly, Kurti should appear there and pave the way for its formation. This is his fundamental duty as the winner of the elections: to propose a name and advance the process of establishing the institutions,” Hoxha stressed.
She accused the prime minister and his ministerial team of “forcibly taking over posts and institutions.”
Meanwhile, the PDK has addressed Avni Dehari, the chair of the constitutive session by age, asking him to convene today, August 18, at 11:00 a.m., the resumption of proceedings to establish the Assembly of Kosovo.
The opposition party called on Dehari to exercise his procedural authority to ensure the continuation of the session and the completion of the legislature’s constitution.
“Mr. Dehari, convene the session. The people’s representatives were elected to serve in the Assembly, not to wait for someone’s political inclination. Tomorrow at 11:00 a.m., the Democratic Party of Kosovo will be present in the chamber,” the PDK’s request stated clearly.
Yesterday, too, the country’s largest opposition force had organized the same gathering outside the Government headquarters, with the identical aim of preventing Kurti from entering the building.
