Residents of Divjaka gathered in the town square for the 18th consecutive day, protesting against the reform project that envisages merging their municipality with that of Lushnja. The protesters said they would continue the demonstration every evening, despite what they described as efforts aimed at bringing the protest to an end.

Their demand remains unchanged: the municipal institution must not be moved from Divjaka. According to the residents, such a decision would not only take services away from the town, but would also undermine Divjaka’s identity.
On Monday evening, the protesters called on the mayor and the administration staff to join the demonstration, emphasizing that they had received the citizens’ votes to serve them.
