Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, accompanied by Defence Minister Vlado Misajlovski, held a meeting today with General Carsten Breuer, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Germany.
According to a post by Mickoski on his Facebook profile, the talks focused on advancing bilateral cooperation in the field of defence, strengthening the partnership within NATO, and current security issues affecting Europe.

“Today we met with the Chief of the General Staff of the German Armed Forces, General Carsten Breuer. We discussed the further advancement of bilateral defence cooperation, strengthening the partnership within NATO, as well as the current security challenges facing Europe. Together, we reaffirmed our determination to deepen cooperation through the exchange of experience, joint activities and the further development of the armed forces’ capabilities, with the aim of strengthening regional and Euro-Atlantic security,” Mickoski said.
During his two-day official visit to the Army and the state of Macedonia, General Breuer also met with the Chief of the Army General Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, Defence Minister Vlado Misajlovski and President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova.
