Jeton Sylaj appears in court over detention measure

Jeton Sylaj, the former husband of the late Arlinda Zekaj, appeared in court, where a hearing is being held to decide whether he should be remanded in custody.

The hearing is being held behind closed doors and is not open to the media.

Sylaj is suspected of having assaulted Arlinda, who had previously reported the case to the police.

After reporting the incident, on October 25, Arlinda returned to her home in Vitomiricë, where she was killed by her former brother-in-law.
