He said with regret that Avdullah Hoti, Hykmete Bajrami, Armend Zemaj, Kujtim Shala, Arben Gashi and Janina Ymeri had decided not to implement the decision of the LDK leadership.
After meeting with the parliamentary group, Abdixhiku announced on 01.09.2026, at 18:34, that there would be consequences for the six MPs who had positioned themselves against Sejdiu’s candidacy.
When asked what measures would be taken, he replied that the disciplinary matter within the LDK would be addressed later, while at this stage his greatest concern was the consequences for Kosovo.
Abdixhiku also spoke about division and discord within the parliamentary group, saying that he had done everything he could and apologizing to the people of Kosovo. According to him, he had been unable to do more with this parliamentary group, although he had tried to propose a dignified person to face a party with absolute ambitions.
The LDK chairman confirmed that he would be present in the Assembly chamber together with 12 MPs on the day the presidential vote takes place.
