Based on the results from July and August, he announced that “the third quarter will be the best in the history of the City of Skopje.”
Gjorgievski stressed that no new debts are being incurred, but old ones are being repaid; that capital investments are not being cut, but are instead increasing; and that every denar is being directed toward citizens and the development of Skopje. He added that the work would continue even more vigorously, with commitment, results and a clear vision for the city’s future.
The budget revision provides for new projects, including the construction of a bridge and a road that will connect Gjorče Petrov with Saraj, creating a new entrance to Skopje. A total of 420 million denars has been allocated for this project.
In addition, 61 million denars have been secured for Skopje 2028 – European Capital of Culture, additional funds for oncology patients, 25 million denars for the reconstruction of smaller roads and 10 million denars for cleaning up landfills, Telegrafi reports.
