A family conflict in the province of Lecco, Italy, ended with the death of a 49-year-old man, who was stabbed by his 83-year-old father.

The tragic incident took place on Saturday evening, August 29, at the home where the father and son lived together. According to the authorities’ initial reconstruction of events, the elderly man took a kitchen knife and attacked his son during the argument.
After suffering serious injuries, the 49-year-old was taken by air ambulance to San Gerardo Hospital in Monza. However, the doctors’ efforts failed to save his life.
Following the incident, the Carabinieri arrested the 83-year-old on suspicion of murder. Authorities’ investigations are continuing to clarify all the circumstances and the motive behind the conflict that caused the tragedy within the family.
