The Special Department of the Basic Court in Pristina has approved the agreement reached between the Special Prosecution Office and the defendant Kadri Xhemajli, who is facing charges of threatening Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

According to a report by “Betimi për Drejtësi,” Special Prosecutor Bekim Kodraliu emphasized that all legal prerequisites for validating the agreement had been met.
Kodraliu explained that the defendant fully understood the nature of the criminal offense, its significance, as well as the advantages and consequences of pleading guilty.
He also underscored that the agreement had been finalized in accordance with all legal requirements and that the accused had entered the plea of his own free will and with full awareness.
Defense attorney Rinor Arifi took the same position, confirming that the entire legal framework required for approving the agreement had been fulfilled.
The indictment filed by the Special Prosecution Office states that on October 22, 2025, Kadri Xhemajli threatened Prime Minister Kurti with taking his life in a post on the Facebook platform. For this action, he is charged with the criminal offense of “Threatening,” under Article 181, paragraph 3, in conjunction with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
After a detailed review of the legal elements, the court decided to approve the plea agreement.
