During a press conference held at the “Enver Zymeri” Special Units Center in Mitrovica, Spahiu spoke about the operation carried out in the Zubin Potok area, where a large arsenal of weapons was confiscated. He announced that 27 people had been interviewed as part of this activity.

Spahiu said that the weapons found in the possession of a suspect would undergo examinations in accordance with the orders and the Criminal Procedure Code. He stressed that the Kosovo Police had information and evidence that the military formation operating in that area—namely, the Territorial Defense of the Yugoslav Army—had not disarmed the mobilized personnel when the war ended. According to him, the evidence shows that the weapons held during the war continued to remain in their possession during this period as well.

He added that, during operational actions, police officers encountered various individuals and escorted them to police facilities, while a total of 27 people were processed and interviewed.

The Kosovo Police today presented the weapons and ammunition seized during operations carried out at 12 different locations in the north.
