The court confirmed the measure in an official response after reviewing the prosecution’s request and holding a hearing.
According to the notice, the pre-trial judge, in Ruling No. DKR.PP.nr.135/26 dated 16.08.2026, decided that his pre-trial detention would last one (1) month.
Haziraj, who was arrested on Saturday, has had run-ins with the law since he was 16 years old.
Documents obtained by Klan Kosova show that a total of 12 indictments have been filed against him for various criminal offenses.
In 2018, he was found guilty and sentenced to 6 years and 6 months in prison for the attempted aggravated murder of his 17-year-old girlfriend, whom he had attacked with a knife. He received a 4-month prison sentence for escaping, while another 4-month sentence was imposed after he committed a criminal offense while serving time in prison.
The remaining indictments mainly concern cases of petty and serious theft. Some of the proceedings initiated since 2016 have yet to be heard in court.
