Inspectors from the Food and Veterinary Agency have begun checks on “Land” milk following a statement published by the TetovaSot news portal in which the director of “Vita” raised concerns about the product. The aim is to prevent its sale until laboratory tests are completed.

Representatives of the Food and Veterinary Agency in Tetovo told TetovaSot that inspectors would investigate “Land” milk, with the results of laboratory tests expected to be made public very soon.
The Agency told TS that, until the information was published in the media, it had been unaware of the concerns surrounding “Land” milk. Following the report, inspectors will immediately conduct field checks, request tests, and subsequently inform the public.
The concerns also involve “Land” milk sold by the Kipper supermarket chain in North Macedonia.
In a video published by the media, the director of “Vita” discusses differences between the caps on milk intended for the Kosovo market and those on the product intended for North Macedonia. In his statement, he also mentions an owner from North Macedonia who also operates supermarkets in Kosovo, but declines to disclose his name.
The statement was made at a time when the Food and Veterinary Agency in Kosovo had announced that palm oil, powdered milk, and undeclared ingredients had been found in several “Vita” products.
Under these circumstances, the question arises as to whether the Food and Veterinary Agency has inspected the “Land” milk sold at Kipper and whether the product’s contents match the information stated on its packaging.
If the milk has been inspected, the institutions must disclose the date the sample was taken, the batch to which it belongs, and the laboratory test results.
If the “Land” product sold at Kipper has not undergone inspections, the FVA must obtain samples and conduct the relevant tests.
