On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Ohrid Framework Agreement, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Nikolloski announced that construction work on the Skopje-Bllacë motorway will begin in the coming days.

He said the country is developing through major investments in infrastructure, healthcare and education, with the aim of becoming more prosperous. As part of the development of modern infrastructure, Nikolloski stressed that construction of the Skopje-Bllacë motorway will begin within days.
According to the transport minister, work is progressing rapidly on the Tetovo-Gostivar and Gostivar-Bukojçan sections, while construction of the Bukojçan-Kërçovë route is also expected to begin in September.
Nikolloski expects another section of the Kërçovë-Ohrid motorway to open to traffic in October, while the entire Kërçovë-Ohrid-Struga motorway is due to be completed in the first quarter of next year.
He added that he expects construction to begin next year, in cooperation with the European Union, on the first phase of the Skopje-Jegunovcë-Tetovo-Gostivar railway, the second phase from Gostivar to Kërçovë, and the third phase from Kërçovë to Ohrid and Struga.
