A 68-year-old man from the village of Berovci in Prilep was found dead in a field within the village, with a gunshot wound to the chest, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) announced.

The incident was reported to the Bitola Police Department on August 11 at 07:33. According to the statement, A.V. from Berovci found his father, S.V. (68), dead.
His death was confirmed by a doctor from the Prilep Emergency Medical Service.
During a search of the vehicle, a hunting rifle was found with a spent cartridge in its barrel.
The relevant teams conducted an examination at the scene. By order of the public prosecutor, the deceased’s body will undergo an autopsy to determine the causes and circumstances of death.
