During a large-scale Kosovo Police operation carried out as part of the operational plan “Joint Action Days JAD Global Chain 2026-June 2026,” actions were undertaken from June 8 to June 12 in cooperation with EUROPOL, INTERPOL, FRONTEX, and other local and international institutions.
According to the announcement, the operation was led by the Directorate for the Investigation of Trafficking in Human Beings and included inspections of live music venues, massage centers, actions to identify children in street situations as possible trafficking victims, as well as the implementation of the tactical plan to crack down on prostitution through escorts.

Police said that during the inspection of 59 live music venues across Kosovo, a total of 420 people were encountered. Of them, 317 were women and 109 were men, while by nationality 186 were citizens of Kosovo and 234 were foreign nationals. Among them were 220 women who were Albanian nationals, 9 women who were Serbian nationals, 4 women who were nationals of North Macedonia, and 1 woman who was a Bulgarian national.
Of the venues inspected, six were found closed, while for administrative violations, MINT inspectors shut down nine live music venues.
