Eight new cases of HIV/AIDS were confirmed in North Macedonia in September. Four of those affected are aged 30–39, while the others fall into age groups ranging from 15 to 59.
These cases brought the total number of people affected by HIV/AIDS in the country to 49 by the end of last month.

Since 1987, a total of 778 cases have been recorded in North Macedonia. Of that total, 144 people have died, while 520 continue to live with the disease.
The most recent death linked to the disease was recorded in 2018.
