The Vlora Court ruled this Monday that Granit Pepnika will remain under the security measure of “pretrial detention.” He had been detained a few days earlier in Dhërmi and is accused of the criminal offense of “computer fraud.”
The same decision, “pretrial detention,” was also issued for Xhoni Hitaj, who is likewise accused of “computer fraud,” as well as for Redion Rexhmati, who faces the charge of “assisting the perpetrator of a crime.”

According to sources, Granit Pepnika and Xhoni Hitaj had been listed as wanted since April, after the Tirana Court had earlier ordered the security measure of “pretrial detention” against them as part of the investigation into this case.
The three citizens were arrested on Friday in the Drimadha area during the police operation codenamed “Networks,” carried out by State Police structures. The operation aimed to crack down on individuals suspected of involvement in criminal activity in the field of computer fraud and to identify their accomplices.
Investigations, meanwhile, are continuing to fully document the suspected criminal activity and determine whether there are other people involved in this scheme.
