Tourist influx toward the southeast brings traffic to a standstill in Elbasan

As on every weekend, traffic is bringing Elbasan to a standstill.

Hundreds of vehicles are heading to tourist areas for the weekend, with the southeast remaining a preferred destination on hot days. But many are also traveling to coastal areas, choosing the Tirana-Elbasan highway because of works on the Tirana-Durrës highway.

The flow of vehicles has increased even further due to the return of emigrants to the homeland for holidays.
