During the morning hours of this Friday, the National Inspectorate for the Protection of Territory (IKMT) will intervene on the coast of Jalë, where several light wooden structures built without permits along the shoreline are being demolished.
The operation is targeting beach bars and other temporary constructions which, besides being unlicensed, have also extended beyond the area designated by the Municipality for carrying out their activity.

Police forces from Himara are also on the ground, supporting the operation. The owners of these structures have themselves begun dismantling part of them before IKMT machinery intervenes.
So far, no incidents or clashes with law enforcement have been reported, and the situation remains calm.
The IKMT operation is expected to continue in the coming hours, as part of efforts to clear public spaces and enforce the law.
