“He Reminds Me of Ceke, I Don’t Consider You Serious,” Clash in Parliament Between Ardit Bido and Redi Muçi: You Are a Traitor

During today’s plenary session, Socialist Party MP Ardit Bido and “Lëvizja Bashkë” MP Redi Muçi became involved in a heated confrontation marked by mutual accusations and high tension in the chamber.

In the debate, Bido said that they are used to “earning money through the sweat of their brow” and working, while addressing Muçi by saying that he has never worked, which according to him also explains the surprise he shows. He went on to declare that he cannot say with certainty whether Muçi is an agent, but added that he would not stake his life on it.

The Socialist MP also recalled a session held a week earlier on Chameria, where according to him Muçi was absent, and then later came out and portrayed himself as a victim by saying that he has Greek nationality. Bido stressed that this is a choice made by his parents and underlined that he has no problem at all with minorities, whom he described as healthy fellow citizens, an asset, patriotic Albanians and unassimilated Greeks. In the end, he accused Muçi of being unable to speak about Chameria, calling him stateless and a traitor.

For his part, Redi Muçi said that everything happening is “on Taulant’s orders,” who according to him has targeted him. He declared that Bido has been set on him “with bread in his bag” and that every time he speaks about Rama, they put these maps in front of him.

Muçi went on to mock him by saying: “Why did you laugh when Comrade Enver coughed?”, adding that this is what Bido is trying to do together with “those souvlaki guys of his.” He asked him that, if he has something serious, he should take it to court or send their inspectors. The “Lëvizja Bashkë” MP then declared that not only does he not take Bido seriously, but that he reminds him of the comedies of the 1990s and the character of Ceke, concluding by calling on him to continue “the counterintelligence campaign.”
