Students Reject Dialogue with Rama: Stickers on MPs’ Cars, a Symbolic Response to Fines Against Emigrants

A group of students announced that they will not sit down for dialogue with Prime Minister Edi Rama, stressing that in their view the only solution is his departure.

These are the same students who a few days ago unfurled a banner at the Polytechnic University.

The students said that on Tuesday they placed stickers on MPs’ vehicles as a symbolic way to reflect the fines that, according to them, were imposed on Albanians from the diaspora who came to our country for the national protest.

“The stickers were organized by a small group of students; we were not funded by any organization. We put them on the cars for the emigrants who were fined, while MPs park on the street and are not fined,” the young man said.

One of the students said: “We are a group of students who do not have separate demands; there is no dialogue like in 2018. This can only be resolved with the departure of Prime Minister Edi Rama.”

Meanwhile, one of the female students described her vision for a new Albania, without corruption, with freedom of speech and equal opportunities for everyone.

“The new Albania is an Albania without corruption, where you are free to speak, free to take risks, where all people are equal, and the judiciary stands with us,” the student said.
