Two police officers in England have been placed under investigation for possible serious disciplinary breaches following the incident involving Henry Nowak, the 18-year-old who was handcuffed and arrested while fighting for his life after being stabbed on the streets of Southampton, in the United Kingdom.
According to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), preliminary findings indicate that the first two officers to arrive at the scene may have breached professional standards regarding the discharge of duty, use of force, and conduct that damages the reputation of the police.

The incident has sparked strong reactions, as Henry Nowak was handcuffed and arrested while in critical condition, shortly before he lost his life. He had been stabbed by Vickrum Digwa in December 2025.
The investigation into the two officers is continuing and is expected to clarify whether their actions amount to serious breaches of professional rules.
On the night of December 3, 2025, Nowak was returning home alone after an evening with friends. On the way, he encountered Vickrum Digëa, who fatally stabbed him with a large knife. In court, Digëa claimed that Nowak had racially abused him, but the judge firmly rejected those claims, as well as the argument of self-defense.
