Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, commander of the Kosovo Security Force, welcomed a delegation from the United States of America led by Daniel Serwer, as part of activities marking the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.
This American delegation was part of the “America250” initiative and included professors, organization leaders, military veterans, and activists engaged in this initiative.

During the meeting, Jashari thanked the guests for their visit, as well as for their contribution to promoting Kosovo in the international arena. He also praised the unwavering support of the United States of America and the close cooperation between the KSF and U.S. defense institutions.
The KSF commander informed the members of the delegation about the latest developments within the force, the progress of its capabilities, as well as its role in guaranteeing the country’s security and stability in the region.
For their part, Daniel Serwer and the representatives of the American delegation expressed appreciation for the development and successes achieved by the KSF, as well as for its contribution to international missions.
The talks also addressed the security situation in the region, while emphasizing the importance of advancing the KSF on the path toward integration into Euro-Atlantic structures, including NATO and the European Union.
At the end of the meeting, Lieutenant General Jashari congratulated the American delegation on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, underscoring the enduring friendship between the two countries and the shared values of freedom, democracy, and strategic partnership.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation between the KSF and U.S. defense institutions, assessing that strengthening Kosovo’s defense capabilities remains a key factor for security and peace in the region.
