Economy and Labor Minister Besar Durmishi has announced that there are worrying signals about the possibility of incidents during the protest scheduled for tonight in Tetovo.
In a public reaction, he said that during last night and throughout today they received information about what he described as “dark scenarios” being prepared against Tetovo.

“According to this information, certain individuals who will come to Tetovo today will try to cause incidents, by vandalizing public buildings, clashing with the Police, or provoking interethnic incidents in Tetovo’s neighborhoods,” the minister said.
According to Durmishi, the aim behind such actions is to create artificial tensions and distort the facts, as well as responsibility.
He also said that local and central institutions are in constant communication and coordination to prevent any such scenario. At the same time, he appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and not become part of what he called “deviations by some infiltrators with dark political intentions.”
The minister stressed, however, that the right to protest remains guaranteed and that institutions will ensure its protection.
“Although it makes no sense to protest in Tetovo over a decision taken by the Constitutional Court in Skopje, the right to protest is guaranteed and we will protect this right,” his reaction said.
On the other hand, the police announced that the protest organized by the Democratic Union for Integration was reported to the police by Bajram Rexhepi, who is officially listed as the organizer.
