Ardian Gjini, the leader of the Alliance, appeared today at a press conference.
Asked whether the Alliance would support Vjosa Osmani with its vote for president, Gjini said there is complete unity within the party in decision-making and that positions are taken in a coordinated manner.

“The Alliance has extraordinary unity in the decision-making process, unique in Kosovo. Our decisions will be clear, harmonized, and we will come out together,” Gjini declared.
He also underlined that AAK’s support is not determined by the personal ambitions of individuals seeking political positions.
“Whether a person who wants to become something will be voted for, or whether a person who wants to become something will not be voted for, does not depend on that. It never depends on that,” he said.
According to Gjini, political parties can reach agreements among themselves without obstacles, but the Alliance will make a decision only if there are clear and written commitments.
“Political parties are free to make agreements, we are not against that. But if the Alliance is needed to resolve the institutional deadlock, we will not give it just because someone wants to become prime minister or president. We will give it if there is a clear written commitment on these issues,” Gjini said.
He also said that, in his view, Kosovo should not have institutions without a clear orientation for the country’s development.
“Kosovo does not deserve to have institutions if they say they do not want to develop Kosovo’s economy, do not want to make it economically and energy independent, and do not want to strengthen ties with the United States of America,” Gjini declared.
