The Special Court has decided to ease the security measure against former Tirana Municipality director Taulant Tusha, changing it from “house arrest” to “mandatory appearance”.
Taulant Tusha is involved in the case known as the “5D” affair, together with two other former directors, Redi Molla and Mariglen Qato.

According to SPAK, at the time when he was serving as general director of the Directorate for the Planning of Public Works and simultaneously as a member of the KVO, Taulant Tusha, together with the other members Enton Punavija, Julian Zanaj and Albanon Janku, favored the company 5D in three Tirana Municipality tenders. The prosecution argues that the company “5D Konstruksion” sh.p.k. was given unfair advantages and privileges over the other economic operators participating in the procurement procedures, and was improperly declared the winner in violation of public procurement rules.
