According to the announcement, six people were recorded in Skopje driving without a driver’s license, one of them a minor. Two such cases were registered in Bitola, one of them a minor, while one unlicensed driver each was detained in Delchevo, Shtip, Kumanovo, Negotino and Makedonski Brod.
Also, one person each in Skopje and Veles was found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol.
“After the full documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed against them.”
“We appeal to all road users to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to drive a vehicle without having passed the driver’s license exam, or if they have been issued a driving ban, or if they are under the influence of alcohol, and for all of us together to contribute to safer traffic,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
