The Prosecution announced that all persons suspected in the corruption cases linked to the Football Federation of Macedonia are subject to security measures and that there is no one beyond the reach of the investigative authorities.
According to the statement, precautionary measures were recently imposed on two suspects, while house arrest was ordered for another person. In this way, it was emphasized that everyone involved in the proceedings is under the supervision of the institutions.

The investigation is linked to the operation carried out on June 18 at several locations in Skopje, where the Financial Police and the Ministry of Interior, under the direction of the Prosecution for Organized Crime and Corruption, conducted searches of homes and business premises following a criminal complaint filed earlier.
Eight legal entities are also involved in this case, suspected of the criminal offenses of “embezzlement in office” and “money laundering.” According to the investigation, former FFM president Ilço Gjorgjioski, together with a finance official of the federation, is suspected of having embezzled more than 127 million denars during the period 2015–2018.
