Vučić opposes handing over Radoičić: It would imply formal recognition of independence

Former Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has spoken out against handing over Milan Radoičić, the former deputy leader of the Serb List, to the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

According to Vučić, such a step would constitute official recognition of Kosovo’s independence and would set in motion, as he claims, the end of the Serbian state.

“You should be clear that handing over Radoičić, or any other person, to Pristina, in any form, would imply recognition of the state of Kosovo and the beginning of the end of the Serbian state.

This would not simply be capitulation, but de jure recognition of Kosovo. It would not be a matter of indirect recognition, but formal legal recognition of the state of Kosovo,” Vučić said to a Serbian media outlet.
