The murder of Arlinda Zekaj has prompted widespread reactions from citizens and institutions.
The Government of Kosovo announced that the Prime Minister’s Office has received detailed reports from the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs concerning the serious case. Zekaj was murdered on Sunday in Vitomiricë, in Peja.

The announcement says the reports will be reviewed together with Justice Minister Donika Gërvalla and Internal Affairs Minister Xhelal Sveçla. The analysis will cover the case’s history and progress, failures and irresponsible handling, negligence and lack of response, as well as procedures and institutional accountability.
Gërvalla and Sveçla will hold a joint press conference tomorrow at 09:00 at the Prime Minister’s Office to provide information on the matter and the next steps, the government said in a Facebook post.
