A large cloud of smoke rose into the air on the outskirts of Elbasan after 17:00, spreading across a wide area. The images have alarmed residents, particularly in Bradashesh, where a strong and suffocating odor has been reported.
Residents suspect that the smoke may have come from the burning of used tires, but so far there has been no official confirmation either of the cause or the location of the fire.
