Justice Minister Donika Gërvalla welcomed the second-reading vote on the Draft Law on the State Bureau for the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets. The draft law was approved today by the Assembly of Kosovo with 66 votes in favor.
In her response, Gërvalla said that unjustified assets would no longer be protected by anyone’s power, influence or name, emphasizing that the law would apply to everyone without exception, reports “Bota sot.”

THE STATE BUREAU is taking shape!
The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo today approved, with 66 votes in favor and in its second reading, the Draft Law on the State Bureau for the Procedure for Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets.
Neither power, influence nor anyone’s name will any longer provide a refuge for unjustified assets. The law must be—and will be—applied to everyone without exception, because in our Republic, no one is above the law.
