“We have supported the Berlin Process for a long time because we consider it an essential platform for the region to advance cooperation between states. Naturally, implementing the agreements reached is an integral part of this cooperation. Accordingly, we hope today’s summit will give this process fresh impetus,” Rudolph said.

The latest Berlin Process Summit is being held in Budva, Montenegro, bringing together leaders from Europe and the Balkans. Those attending include Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker, and North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.

The Berlin Process is an initiative aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in the Western Balkans and supporting the integration of countries in the region into the European Union. It was launched and presented in August 2014 by former German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
