At around 9:15 a.m., on “Nikolla Lena” Street, in front of a residential building, an amount of suspected explosive material placed in a parked vehicle owned by citizen N. B. exploded.
As a result, only material damage was caused.
The investigative team is continuing work to clarify the circumstances of the incident and identify and apprehend the perpetrator or perpetrators, police said.
Lawyer Beqiri was in Brussels
Idajet Beqiri was in Brussels and was expected to return last night, but his flight was canceled.
A plane from Brussels arrived in Tirana a few minutes ago. Beqiri is expected to be escorted to the police station for questioning in connection with the suspicions against him.
