The Committee on Legislation of the Assembly of Kosovo has given the green light to six draft laws that are part of the justice reform.
The news was announced by the committee’s chair, Vigan Qorrolli, who explained that the decision was made during the body’s first meeting.

Among the approved initiatives is the Draft Law on the State Bureau for the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets, along with the five draft laws included in the Justice Reform Package.
The latter aim to address the integrity and accountability of judges and prosecutors, increase the role of the councils, and strengthen the Academy of Justice.
Following their passage by the committee, the draft laws will proceed to plenary review.
Qorrolli described their approval as a concrete step toward changing the justice system and consolidating the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.
