The fifth protest began with the unfurling of a large national flag bearing the emblem of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
Participants were seen holding placards with the messages “Not in my name,” “There is no peace without justice” and “Freedom has a name.”
The protests began on September 16, following the verdict against former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selimi. According to the court’s verdict, they were convicted of war crimes offenses.
