82-year-old from Kosovo dies at Velipojë beach

An elderly man from Kosovo died today while at Velipojë beach.

According to a statement from the Albanian State Police, the incident is suspected to have occurred at around 3:30 p.m. in the “Small Beach” area. The Kosovar citizen, E. M., 82, is believed to have suffered cardiac arrest while swimming in the sea and consequently drowned.

The investigative team is continuing its work to fully clarify and document the circumstances of the incident.
