Several protesters overturned garbage bins in the street near the Democratic Party headquarters as an act of protest, while lawmakers were inside Parliament holding a plenary session.

Meanwhile, activist Ani Marku, also known as the “placard boy,” has reportedly been taken to the police station.

Today’s protest was also marked by tensions and clashes between protesters and police officers. Four people have been taken to the police station so far, while protesters have “dispersed” to several key locations.
