This morning, tensions and physical clashes were recorded in Tirana, as police forces intervened violently against citizens who blocked traffic in the area of Zogu i Zi and Durrës Street.
The civic action, which marks the continuation of the 107-day resistance against Edi Rama’s administration, faced a harsh and disproportionate response from law enforcement.

During the operation to disperse the gathering, the blue uniforms used physical violence against protesters. As a result of the aggressive police intervention, at least 10 people were forcibly taken into custody and sent to the premises of Police Station No. 1 in the capital.
Despite the pressure and police violence, the popular movement did not retreat. Immediately after the detentions, a large crowd of protesters moved in front of Police Station No. 1, surrounding the building and demanding the immediate release of all those taken into custody.
