Asked by journalists about the audio recordings published by Ahmetaj, she stressed that KAYO is a “source of pride” and that she could not respond to statements by those who, according to her, are mired in their own filth.
“I feel both sorry and disgusted to discuss or respond to statements made by fugitives from justice. I would like to make a direct request to the person who made those statements and released the recordings: just as he has the courage, from the filth in which he is mired, to sling mud at government projects, he should find the courage to face Albanian justice,” the minister said.
But when the journalist pressed her on whether weapons are packaged or manufactured in Albania, she continued:
“What I can say is that KAYO is one of the sources of pride among the projects implemented by the government, and naturally, I am disgusted to have to respond to statements made public by people who are mired in their own filth.”
