Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Eman Rrahmani has accused Vetëvendosje and its leader, Albin Kurti, of seeking to restore authoritarianism and concentrate institutional control in the hands of a single person.

Rrahmani, a former MP and former member of LVV, made the statements ahead of the resumption of the constitutive session of the Assembly of Kosovo, where a vote was expected on the election of the institution’s deputy speakers.
According to him, the current deadlock serves those in power who, as he put it, have usurped the institutions. He warned that various methods would be tried to prolong the life of this government.
“To bring authoritarianism back to our country, with everything controlled by one person.
This situation suits someone who has usurped the institutions, so I will try every way to prolong the life of this kind of violent power over all the institutions he has usurped. This deadlock will end only when we stand together with the people,” he said.
