A meeting was held between representatives of the civic platform “Freedom Has a Name” and the Bishop of the Diocese of Kosovo, Monsignor Dodë Gjergji, as part of preparations for the March for Freedom, which is expected to take place on September 12 in Pristina.

According to a statement distributed by “Freedom Has a Name,” the talks focused on the march’s logistics, its symbolic significance and its message of solidarity with Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, as well as with their families.
Eliza Hoxha, Ismail Tasholli and Ridvan Emini, in their capacity as representatives of the platform, briefed Bishop Gjergji on the broad civic engagement and activities taking place throughout Kosovo ahead of September 12.
Monsignor Dodë Gjergji offered his open support for the March for Freedom, emphasizing the necessity of unity, solidarity and a common stance in defense of the principles that established Kosovo’s freedom.
The statement emphasizes that “the civic platform ‘Freedom Has a Name’ expresses its gratitude to Bishop Dodë Gjergji for his hospitality, support and solidarity with this civic initiative. The March for Freedom is scheduled for September 12, starting at 14:00, at Skënderbeu Square in Pristina. Kosovo is waiting. On September 12, all together for freedom.”
