A 27-year-old resident of Radusha lost his life in the early hours of Monday in Berlin’s Neukölln district after being shot with a firearm. Tetova News has confirmed through its own sources that the victim was M.M., while the daily Berliner Morgenpost reports that he held North Macedonian citizenship. German authorities said that several shots were fired at him and that the suspects fled the scene, while the number of perpetrators and the motive remain unclear.

Berlin law enforcement was alerted at around 02:30 after witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the Sonnenallee area. Upon arriving at the scene, patrol officers found a seriously injured man on the pavement and immediately began resuscitation efforts. An emergency doctor also came to assist the officers, but despite the swift interventions, the 27-year-old could not be saved.
In a joint statement issued afterward, the Berlin Police and Public Prosecutor’s Office placed the incident at around 02:40 at the intersection of Planetenstraße and Sonnenallee, near the Köllnische Heide green area. Police spokesman Florian Nath had earlier given an operational statement from the crime scene, referring to the alert received at around 02:30, making it clear that the times are approximate.
As for the victim’s identity, German authorities have not made his full name public. However, Berliner Morgenpost reported, citing its own information, that the deceased was a citizen of North Macedonia. In parallel, Tetova News independently verified that the victim was the 27-year-old identified by the initials M.M., originally from Radusha.
The suspected person or persons fled the crime scene, and no arrests had been reported in the latest official updates. The investigation is ongoing to clarify the full circumstances of this serious incident.
