The court hearing between Veliaj and Special Prosecutor Olsi Dado was postponed today at the Administrative Court.
The reason was the absence of the mayor’s lawyer, Plarent Ndreca. He did not appear at today’s hearing after informing the court that he was at the emergency room with his child.

The previous hearing was postponed to give the parties time to review the request of the association “National Association of Media and Justice,” which is seeking to be included in the trial.
Veliaj is asking the Administrative Court to declare invalid the decree by which Dado was appointed prosecutor in 2008.
Representatives of the association have stated that the case is of public interest and is connected to the integrity of the justice system, which constitutes one of the main objectives of the association’s activity.
