A new operation by the Organized Crime Department of the Public Security Bureau of the Ministry of Interior began in the early morning, with searches at dozens of locations in Skopje, Tetovo and Kumanovo.
Initial unofficial sources report that the operation is focused on officials at a private hospital and employees of the Health Insurance Fund. They are suspected of various criminal offenses, including abuse of official position and authority, negligent performance of duty, fraud and money laundering.

According to the same sources, the damage to the budget exceeds 1.5 million euros, while the hospital’s suspected illegal gain is estimated at around 4 million euros.
The suspicions also include harm to a considerable number of patients treated at the hospital.
The authorities have not yet released official information about the case, and further details are expected during the day.
